Wildling: a creature existing in nature.
Endling: the last living individual of a species.

The world is full of hidden treasures: rare birds and flowers and insects, that may slip past unnoticed, even in our own backyards. Do you know the names of the trees outside your window? Were you aware that, just over a hundred years ago, a native species of parrot perched in poplars and magnolias in the southern U.S.? Have you ever heard the drumming of the threatened woodpecker that roosts there now? For a person to care about a bird or a plant, in order to respond to a threat it might face, one must first be aware of its existence. My calling as an artist is to tell the stories of lost and vulnerable species: to illuminate the overlooked wealth of nature, and the ways that we can still protect it.
My pieces are created using traditional art techniques such as oil on canvas, pen & ink, printmaking, watercolor, colored pencil, graphite, and gouache. Absolutely zero A.I. is used at any stage of my creative process. My work relies on the combination of my own imagination, extensive study of texts, and travel to institutions where I can gain insight from real examples of various species. Your purchase helps support the research necessary to inspire and create my artwork, and share my mission with the world.
